    Description

    I've seen a lot of these vises having lived in Connecticut for 30 years.  Every farm and sop had at least one.  This is one of the better ones.  Everything works properly.  Has 3" jaws that open to 5".  Jaws close tight as shown.  Swivel and tightening nut work properly.  Sorry I don't have the wrench.  Small adjustable will work.  Patented in 1889 or thereabouts.  #973. Weighs in at 30 pounds.  Some original off white paint on lettering.  This stout little vise dodged historys damage and remains crisp and clean.  A word about shipping.  If I can get this into a large flat rate box I will try.  Still working on it.
