Description
This Haiti 10 Gourde banknote from 2014 was issued to commemorate the bicentennial of Haitian independence from France on January 1, 1804. Its obverse side bears a portrait of Lieutenant Sanite Belair along with soldiers fighting with rifles and the national emblem. The reverse side features the historic Fort Red Cap in Jacmel. The note was design by Daniel Elie and measures 132 x 64 mm. It does not contain any security threads however a watermark cornerstone is added to the design to enhance its security features.
