This 3/4" and 13/16" socket is made to fit in Klein's DeWalt battery driven Impact Wrench (BAT20LW) as an additional (or replacement) snap-in socket. This feature instantly gives you another socket to fit this unique tool. Right off the bat, this is a very heavy piece of metal that you can tell is going to take a lot of abuse and last a long time, specifically is can handle 300 ft-lbs of torque. It is beautifully machined, where you can see the milled lines that create a smooth surface. To describe most unique aspect of this socket requires a reference to the tool to which it belongs to: That is the socket allows the pass through of a long solid or threaded bolt. This patent pending feature will do what standard ratchets can not do, that is work on an extended bolt, threaded or not. As to installing or removing the socket from the tool, prudent safety requires the tool to be locked-out or the battery removed. This socket has a button that locks the socket into place; a release button is located on the tool attached socket itself. This Klein socket is a specialized socket for the Klein BAT20LW tool. Got this a a replacement for my missing BAT20LW1 which went missing quite a while ago. Be advised you should keep this socket “attached” to the tool itself as it will be misplaced especially when use of the tool is required. I’ve also made it a point to etch my surname to the socket just so it is identifiable when borrowed. This socket is quite expensive however it is indispensable when you need to secure large diameter lags high up in the air.
